A contents reproduction system disclosed herein includes information processing apparatuses 10, 110 connectable via a communication network 100. The information processing apparatus 10 reads and reproduces the data from a storage device 20 while storing the received data to the storage device 20. Or the information processing apparatus 110 transmits all the data of the contents reproduced up to the midway and the positional information representing the present reproduction position or the reproduction interruption position to the information processing apparatus 10. The information processing apparatus 10 reads and reproduces the received data after the position denoted by the positional information from the storage device 20 while storing the received data to the storage device 20.
