Abstract:

To provide an information processing apparatus having functions of a printer and a camera, which properly performs an initializing process in order to protect the printer section, and can suppress a wasteful power consumption at the printer section.

The initializing processing is not immediately performed at a point wherein power of a power source section 250 is fed to the printer section B100. That is, the initializing processing for the printer section B100 is performed while taking a history wherein power of the power source section 250 is shut off before the feeding of power, and a time passage from the start of the power feeding to the present time into consideration.
