Abstract:
To make it possible to, even in a situation where revision of an electronic document is performed by additionally writing for a printed matter in which a content of the electronic document is printed, reflect a result of the revision to the electronic document in a more suitable manner.SOLUTION: A job control unit 403 identifies an electronic document serving as a printing source of a printed matter from a first image according to a result reading the printed matter. An image processing unit 404 generates a difference image from a difference between a second image according to a result of rendering the identified electronic document and the first image that is read. The image processing unit 404 identifies an instruction relating to a revision additionally written on the printed matter and a character string to be subjected to the revision, on the basis of the difference image. The image processing unit 404 identifies a position of the character string to be subjected to the revision in the electronic document. In addition, the job control unit 403 edits the character string in the electronic document to be subjected to the revision in accordance with a content of the revision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
