The projector includes imaging means for imaging a user side and, on the basis of the picked-up image that has been imaged, detects switching request operation by the user. When detecting the switching request operation by the user, the projector switches an image projected on the screen to an image by image data transmitted from an information terminal B that is used by the user who has performed the switching request operation.
