Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of maintaining a storage device in a power-saving mode in the case of having no need of using the storage device when an information processing device is returned from a power-saving mode.SOLUTION: A CPU 101 of an information processing device (MFP) controls a power mode of the MFP between a normal mode and a power-saving mode whose power consumption is smaller than that of the normal mode. An HDC 105 controls an HDD 117 so as to be a power-saving state when the CPU 101 shifts the MFP from the normal mode to the power-saving mode. When the CPU 101 returns the MFP from the power-saving mode to the normal mode (S401 to S403), the HDC 105 controls the HDD 117 as to whether to return from the power-saving state to a normal state according to whether or not the HDD 117 is used after returning to the normal mode (S414 to S417).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
