Abstract:
To improve power efficiency of an information processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A power measuring unit 221 measures power consumption of an arithmetic processing unit 211. A performance measuring unit 222 measures performance of the arithmetic processing unit 211. A detecting unit 223 detects a decrease in power efficiency of the arithmetic processing unit 211 based on the power consumption of the arithmetic processing unit 211 measured during execution of a program by the arithmetic processing unit 211. When the decrease in power efficiency is detected, a determining unit 224 causes the arithmetic processing unit 211 to execute the program while changing operation parameters of the arithmetic processing unit 211. The determining unit 224 determines setting values of the operation parameters, based on the power consumption and the performance of the arithmetic processing unit 211 measured during execution of the program while the operation parameters are being changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
