To acquire positional information from a dynamic image of an object at good response.
An image pickup device 12 includes a first camera 22, and a second camera 24. Each camera picks up an image of an object from right and left positions across a known width at the same timing and the same frame rate. Then, each picked-up frame image is converted into image data of plural predetermined resolutions. An input information acquisition part 26 of an information processing device 14 acquires an instruction input from a user. A positional information creation part 28 approximately estimates a region of the object or an active region from the image with a low resolution and a wide range among the data of a stereo image, as an object region, and executes stereo-matching of only the region using an image of a high resolution to specify a three-dimensional position of the object. An output information creation part 32 executes required processing based on a position of the object to create output information. A communication part 30 requests and acquires the image data to and from the image pickup device 12.
