To enable a user to set printing conditions with a simple operation without giving the user a complicated impression.
At least a first display area 301 and a second display area 302 are set on the setting screen of a printer driver. Function group icons for setting the functions of the printer driver are displayed on the first display area 301. As the function group icons, for example, "Copies" 311, "Document Filing" 312, "N-Up" 313, "Finishing" 314, "Poster" 315 and so on are set. When a user selects a function group icon, a printing conditions setting item corresponding to the function group icon is displayed on the display area 302, and the user is sets desired printing conditions by using the printing conditions setting item.
