PURPOSE: To shift only a use environment with a simple operation without shifting hardware by shifting software by means of operating an environment icon.
CONSTITUTION: A device icon corresponding to a work station 300a, a unit icon corresponding to hardware and the environment icon corresponding to software are displayed on the display screen of an environment management work station 300e. The device icon is separated into the unit icon and the environment icon so as to display them. Software is separated from the work station 300a, and it is stored in the work station 300e. The display position of the icon is shifted and the display of the unit icon is overlapped with that of the environment icon. Thus, the unit icon and the environment icon are synthesized with the device icon. Then, software is incorporated into a work station 300b corresponding to the unit icon, for example.
