To provide an information processing apparatus that can facilitate the wireless setting of a portable terminal while ensuring security.SOLUTION: In an information processing system, an information processing apparatus (image forming apparatus 100) supports the wireless connection between a portable terminal 300 and an access point (AP), and comprises: a pairing unit 1001 that performs pairing for recognizing a regular communication partner for a server device 200 that provides the AP; an AP connection information acquisition unit 1005 that acquires, from the server device being a pairing partner, AP connection information for the portable terminal to wirelessly connect to the AP; and an AP connection information transmission unit 1004 that transmits the acquired AP connection information to the portable terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
