Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide accurate estimation of cell position and activity in observed data.SOLUTION: A spike time-series baseline calculation unit 34 and a cell shape baseline calculation unit 38 update an estimated value so as to be close to a true solution based on the cell shape a, calcium concentration change v, spatial baseline b, and time baseline bto cause a decrease in an objective function of a predetermined minimization problem, the objective function including a penalty term on a cell shape aand a penalty term on a spike time series u. If the change of the objective function becomes sufficiently small by the updates in the spike time-series baseline calculation unit 34 and the cell shape baseline calculation unit 38, an iteration-convergence determination unit 54 determines that the objective function has converged and ends the processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
