To deliver highly reliable information to external equipment by checking errors which could occur in the process of transmitting information from a memory to the outside in an information processing method and information processor for transferring to the external equipment information on a data frame to which an error detection parity code is attached.
In transferring the information inside a memory which is to be regarded as correct in a parity check by an EDC (YES at a step ST12) to an external host (step ST16), it is checked again by the EDC whether or not there occurs an error (illegal data). When there is no problem in the recheck (YES at step ST18), it is all right (step ST32), but when a problem is detected (NO at step ST18), transfer processing from the memory to the external host is restarted (steps ST20 to ST26).
