Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish the communication path of high secrecy over a wide band between a PDA and a server. SOLUTION: First of all, a PDA 1 and a memory card 51 are connected and mutually authenticated, and data encrypted by a temporary key shared by authentication are transferred from the PDA 1 to the memory card 51, decrypted by the shared temporary key and stored on the memory card 51. Next, a PC 52 and the memory card 51 are connected and mutually authenticated, and data encrypted by a temporary key shared by authentication are transferred from the memory card 51 to the PC 52, decrypted by the shared temporary key and stored in the PC 52. Then, the PC 52 and a server 4 are connected and mutually authenticated, and data encrypted by a temporary key shared by authentication are transmitted from the PC 52 through a broadband network 53 to the data communication server 4. Thus, the communication path of high secrecy is established between the PDA 1 and the data communication server 4.
