Abstract:
To reduce the amount of communication with a server to restrict the formation of images.SOLUTION: The present invention is based on the premise that an information processing system can be connected with a server device and an image processing apparatus via a network. The image processing apparatus has a feature quantity extraction unit that extracts a feature quantity from data, a transmission unit that transmits the feature quantity to the server device, a receiving unit that receives output settings for the feature quantity, and an image formation instruction unit that instructs formation of images to an image forming unit according to the output settings. The server device has a receiving unit that receives the feature quantity, a storage unit that stores a registered feature quantity, a processing unit that outputs output settings according to whether the received feature quantity satisfies the feature quantity registered in the storage unit, and a transmission unit that transmits the output settings output from the processing unit to the image processing apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
