A user switches the correspondence between any arbitrary one of plural buttons 2 provided for a pad type PD 1 and a tapping signal outputted from a pad surface by operating a mechanical switch 5. The push- down signal of the button 2 and the tapping signal, which are made correspondent, are ORed and inputted to a system part 6 as a switch signal 3 and even concerning both these signals, the system part 6 effectively utilizes the tapping function.
