Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for generating and outputting response utterance on behalf of a user with respect to device utterance output by an interactive device.SOLUTION: Device utterance is inputted from a user utterance partner device being an utterance partner of a user and user proxy utterance is generated and output on behalf of the user. An information processor includes: a response need determination part for determining need of the user proxy utterance, and a response generation part for generating the user proxy utterance when the user proxy utterance is determined to be required. The response generation part refers to, for example, user behavior history information and generates and outputs proxy utterance reflecting intention of the user. The response need determination part determines that the user proxy utterance is required when the user utterance is not performed within threshold time which is previously specified from utterance completion timing of the device utterance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
