To provide an information processor and an information processing method which set various kinds of different applications at one time, automatically select a job that corresponds to an application, eliminates mismatch between an application that is made job selection mistakenly and the job and improve reliability.

A bankbook issuing device 10 sets an application that issues a bankbook and also has a reading part 2 which reads information that is written in the application. A controlling part 1 discriminates the kind of the application from the range of image data and character data which are read through the part 2, reads a processing image that corresponds to the kind of application from a ROM and shows it through a displaying part 4. An operator executes a job according to the processing image shown on the part 4, data that is defined on the displayed image is printed through a printing part 5, and a bankbook is issued.
