In a personal computer 1 applicable to the information processor, a CPU 31 executes a utility 51 loaded on a main memory 33 to determine whether the generation source of system power source is an external power source or a battery 41, and refers to a synchronization setting data table 50 to write driving mode instruction data for instructing a driving mode state of an LCD 45 based on the determination result. A driving mode signal generation circuit 55 generates a driving mode selection control signal for controlling selection of driving mode of the LCD 45 based on the written driving mode instruction data. A driving mode selection circuit 47 selectively switches the driving mode of the LCD 45 based on the generated driving mode selection control signal.
