Abstract:

To provide an information processing system in which mechanical information stored inside can be protected even when a device is stolen or disassembled.

This is an information processing system equipped with a portable PC6 and an IC card 5 constituted separately from this portable PC6 which can transfer a signal with the portable PC6. The portable PC6 is provided with a random number generating part 3 which generates a temporary key, and an enciphering device 4 which enciphers data by using the temporary key, and generates a body part 8. The IC card 5 is provided with a master key storing part 9 which stores a master key, and an enciphering device 10 which enciphers the temporary key by using the master key, and generates a header part 11. The portable PC6 is also provided with a storage device 12 which synthesizes the body part 8 with the header part 11, and stores it as an enciphered file 2.
