To reduce power consumption by shortening the period for restoration from a sleep state when a set information is received through a network, for an extended sleep state.
An information processor 2, upon receiving set information D1 through a network, stores the set information D1 temporarily. Here, by determining the level of importance of the set information D1, the order of priority at the time of registering the set information D1 is determined, and a registration time required for registration process of the set information D1 is calculated. When a predetermined process is executed after restoring from the sleep state, the process time required for executing the process is calculated. The process time is compared with the registration time that has been calculated in advance. Such set information D1 as registration time is shorter than process time is selected as a registration object based on the order of priority. During the period the process is being made, the registration process of the set information D1 that has been selected as the registration object is executed.
