PURPOSE: To improve the operability of an information processor by switching a mode in each arrival of measuring time at fixed time, detecting the shift of a 1st point coordinate input state to a 2nd point coordinate input state and selecting a mode at the time of the detection.
CONSTITUTION: A timer means (RAM) 2 measures continuous time for which the coordinates of a 1st point are inputted by input means 8, 12 and a mode is automatically switched by the switching means (RAM) 2 in each arrival of the measuring time at fixed time. When the coordinates of a 2nd point are inputted by the input means 8, 12, the detection means (RAM) 2 detects the shift of the input from the 1st point coordinates to the 2nd point coordinates and the selecting means (RAM) 2 automatically selects a mode at the time of the detection. Thereby a mode for specifying an editing range can be switched without executing specific operation for mode switching. Consequently input operation and switching operation for specifying the editing range can be unified and operability can be improved.
