PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system and an information providing method with higher expandability.SOLUTION: An information providing system is one having a robot 10 and a user terminal 20 which is a computer that a user owns. The robot has an audio output unit for reproducing audio data. The user terminal has an information generating means for obtaining sensor information from one or more sensors of an information collecting apparatus 30 equipped with a vehicle and for generating information to be provided to the user, based on the obtained sensor information, a conversion means for converting the information to be provided to interaction sentence, and a control unit 22 for converting the interaction sentence to sound to output the same through the robot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
