A user of a broadcast reception recording device 3-1 generates meta data corresponding to a recorded broadcast program, and registers the data to a program database 12 of a server 2 via a network 1. The server 2 corrects meta data relative time of broadcast contents, received from the broadcast reception recording device 3-1, into absolute time and registers the result. A user of a broadcast reception recording device 3-2 transmits the video recording start/end time of broadcast contents desired for use of the meta data, to the server 2. The server 2 identifies broadcast contents, based on the information received from the broadcast reception recording device 3-2 and corrects again the meta data, corresponding to the contents into a video recording start time of the broadcast reception recording device 3-2 and transmits the corrected time to the broadcast reception recording device 3-2 via the network 1.
