To provide a recording medium with an information providing program recorded therein for providing moving destination information, and an information providing method, wherewith access information for a primary information and a detailed information relevant to the estimated time of arrival calculated from the moving destination and the present time is retrieved and recorded on the medium so that a user can efficiently get the destination information from the medium, when necessary, by reference to the primary information and also to the detailed information based on the access information.

The method comprises a step for calculating the estimated time of arrival at the destination from the present location and the present time when the destination is specified by the user, a step for extracting the primary information which is the summary information relevant to the estimated time of arrival at the destination, and the access information for the detailed information when necessary, from the database based on the destination and the estimated time of arrival, a step for writing the extracted primary information and access information on the medium, and a step for reading to display the primary information when necessary from the medium brought by the user and also reading the access information to refer to the detailed information.
