Information of foods contained in a refrigerator 7 is collected from radio tags 8 and held in the refrigerator 7. When a specified operation is performed while viewing a cooking program on a TV 10, viewing time and channel information are transmitted to a server 1. The server 1 specifies the type of keyword corresponding to the program under broadcast based on the information and transmits it to the TV receiver 10. The TV 10 collects home information through an LAN 6 based on the type of keyword and transmits it to the server 1. The server 1 retrieves a data base for storing information provided by an information provider 2 using the home information as a keyword. The retrieved information is subjected to a specified processing by the server 1 and transmitted to the TV 10 where it is displayed along with the program under viewing. The user can acquire additional information of the program depending on the personal information.
