Abstract:
To present accurate information on the unoccupied state of a parking lot installed along a road.SOLUTION: An information provision system 1 includes an arrival time prediction unit 120, a demand prediction unit 121, and a parking information creation unit 122. The arrival time prediction unit 120 predicts the arrival time at a parking lot, which is present in a traveling direction of an object vehicle on a road, and installed so as to be capable of being taken into and out of the road along the road, on the basis of a traffic state of each point on the road. The demand prediction unit 121 predicts a demand which is the number of vehicles which require the use of the parking lot at the predicted arrival time, on the basis of the traffic state of each point on the road. The parking information creation unit 122 determines an unoccupied state of the parking lot at the predicted arrival time on the basis of the predicted demand, creates parking information including the determination result on the unoccupied state, and outputs the information to the object vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
