PURPOSE: To provide a high-speed data transfer type information recorder as the recording medium of a floppy disk device taking the place of a conventional floppy disk by providing a semiconductor memory, electrode part to input/output magnetic signals, memory controller to read/write a data in the semiconductor memory, and first and second signal conversion circuits in a protection case.

CONSTITUTION: In a protection case 11 having the almost same outer dimension as that of the floppy disk, an information recorder 10 is arranged with a semi conductor memory 12, electrode part 13 to input/output magnetic signals to a magnetic head 21, magnetic/electric signal conversion circuit 14 to convert the inputted magnetic signals to electric signals, memory controller 15 to read/ write data in the semiconductor memory 12, and electric/magnetic signal conver sion circuit 16 to transmit the read data to the electrode part 13 after converting it to magnetic signals. Thus, the high-speed data transfer type information recorder with high durability and handlability can be presented as the recording medium of the floppy disk device taking the place of with the floppy disk.
