To provide a moving picture still picture simultaneous recording apparatus capable of carrying out zoom-in or zoom-out of a still picture without degrading the resolution through an operation after recording.
The moving picture still picture simultaneous recording apparatus including: an optical path splitter for splitting a ray made incident from an imaging lens; at least one light receiving element for receiving split rays and providing an output of a moving picture signal; at least one light receiving element for receiving the split rays and providing an output of a still picture signal; a moving picture signal recording unit for recording the moving picture signal to a recording medium; and a still picture signal recording unit for recording the still picture signal to the recording medium, records picture positional information of the moving picture corresponding to the still picture signal of the still picture and records information with respect to zoom-in or zoom-out of the still picture to the recording medium.
