To provide an information recording device in which an optical system is not complexed even when phase modulation is applied to signal light in addition to amplitude modulation, and an information reproducing device which reproduces information recorded by the information recording device.
The information recording device 100 is provided with a laser 1 emitting laser light PL, a space light amplitude modulator 4 receiving the laser light PL and generating signal light SGL and reference light RFL, a space light phase modulator 5 data-modulating a phase of the signal light SGL based on image information IM supplied from an encoder 20, and an optical system in which a recording medium 15 makes the signal light SGL interfere with the reference light RFL. The space light phase modulator 5 includes a plurality of pixels 5PX to which a phase difference is given based on a two dimensional data pattern of the image information IM.
