Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium recording method which makes it possible to obtain optimum tracking characteristics at all times even in unrecorded regions and makes it possible to obtain the optimum tracking characteristics at all times even in already recorded regions together with making it possible to obtain both of good reproducing information from pit sequences for reproducing only and good reproducing information from guide groups for recording and reproducing by reproducing intermediate regions consisting of the pit sequences by a tracking system of a differential push-pull system or a phase difference system.
SOLUTION: This information recording medium which is both flat in the guide grooves formed on a disk substrate and the base surface positions of the pit sequences on the same plane and is provided with the intermediate regions consisting of the pit sequences changing in the height between the height from the base surfaces to the flanks of the guide grooves and the height from the base surfaces to the flanks of the pit sequences in the switching segments changing from the pit sequences to the guide grooves or from the guide grooves to the pit sequences is used.
