PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density information recording medium with which a probe and recording medium are non-contact and information can be recorded, reproduced and erased even if low electric fields are impressed thereto, and to provide an information recording device using the same.
SOLUTION: The high-density information recording medium can be realized by the information recording device provided with the information recording medium having lower electrodes, an insulating layer, a photoelectric releasing layer formed with protrusions for releasing photoelectrons and a dielectric layer for holding the photoelectrons, a stage for supporting the information recording medium, a scanner for driving the stage, chips for forming electric fields, a cantilever for supporting the chips, a circuit section for impressing a driving signal, and information recording and erasing signals to the scanner and the cantilever, and a light source for irradiating the information recording medium with light. The information recording device which reduces the wear of the information recording medium and the probe without contact, can increase the recording speed and enhances energy efficiency by utilizing light energy can be realized.
