To provide an information recording medium not only satisfying the basic performances as the information recording medium but also being processed by a machine.

In the constitution of a recording medium, at least a magnetic layer 2 of lightproofness, an information layer 5 having recorded informaitons to be masked thereon and formed on the magnetic layer and a releasable masking layer 6 masking the information layer are formed on one face of a base, or else, at least an information layer 5 having recorded informations thereon and a releasable masking layer 6 masking the information layer are formed on one face of a base and at least a magnetic layer 2 of lightproofness is formed on the other face of the base. As the magnetic layer 2 is formed as a layer on the lower side of the information layer 5 on which informations to be masked are recorded, not only it is hard to read the information layer 5 from the base side, but also the information to be read by a machine can be recorded on the magnetic layer 2.
