Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably record information and to raise reliability of the recorded information even if a capacity of an auxiliary electric power supply is restricted.
SOLUTION: When a vehicle collision is detected in the midst of memorizing vehicle traveling information relating to the vehicle in a RAM area 31 updating the information, a squib 6 is operated by the power supply accumulated in a back-up condenser 25 with stopping the power supply from an IGN power source 2. When memorizing the vehicle traveling information at the time of generation of vehicle collision in an EEPROM 28, MPU 29 calculates a recordable time to the EEPROM 28 of the vehicle traveling information based on an amount of electric power of the back-up condenser 25 and calculates a required time for recording of the vehicle traveling information. When the required time for recording is longer than the recordable time comparing the recordable time to the required time for recording, the recording to the EEPROM 28 is finished.
