Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease the time for information recording for an information recording method and an information recording medium in which information is recorded by using polarization of a ferroelectric layer.
CONSTITUTION: A terminal resistance 60 of 1MΩ is connected in parallel with an information recording medium 10. The medium 10 is mounted and fixed on a sample holder 30 with a vacuum chuck or the like, and 20 V voltage is applied between the sample holder 30 and a movable electrode 20 from a power supply 40 and high speed switch SW50 for 0.1μsec. Charges given to the surface of the information recording medium 10 is gradually discharged through the terminal resistance 60. The discharge time can be enough increased compared to a case that a terminal resistance 60° of 50Ω is connected.
