PURPOSE: To easily perform the adjustment as to a distance between a recording light beam and a reading light beam and to perform the additional write of proper information based on this adjustment.

CONSTITUTION: Based on a moving amt. or moving time of an optical card until a pit formed on the optical card by a recording optical means is detected by a reading optical means, a relative distance between the light beam from the recording optical means and the light beam from the reading optical means on the optical card is measured. A measured value is stored in a storage means, and after a recording signal is corrected on the basis of this value, the additional write of information on the optical card is properly performed.
