The magnetic disk device 100 has an authentification key preparing means 13 to prepare the authentification key on the basis of the physical characteristics of the magnetic disk device itself. The magnetic disk device 100 and the host system 101 respectively have an authentification key recording means 14 to record the authentification key and an authentification data preparing means 15 to prepare the authentification data on the basis of the authentification key. The access from the host system 101 to the information of the magnetic disk device 100 is controlled on the basis of the authentification data of the host system 101 and the authentification data of the magnetic disk device 100.
