Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To similarly retrievable contents reflecting user's liking without imposing burden onto the user. SOLUTION: An information retrieving device is provided with a contents storage means for storing a plurality of contents, a featured value storage means for storing multi-dimensional featured values corresponding to these contents, an application history storage means for storing user's application history, a distance calculation means for calculating a distance/similarity between respective contents on the basis of the multi-dimensional featured values and setting up a calculation parameter by the application history stored in the application history storage means, and a selection means for selecting contents required by the user from the stored contents on the basis of the distance/similarity between both the contents which is calculated by the distance calculation means.
