Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently perform retrieval operation, by constituting a titled device so that the progressing state of index word search operation is displayed so as to grasp the state for the operator sensuously. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 11 outputs a key strobe signal KS to a key input device 12, discriminates the operated key through the reading of a key input signal KI, designates the address of a memory 13 and reads the content. The microprocessor 11 performs a desired display by writing information corresponding to the display pattern in a display controlling section 14. The microprocessor 11 is provided with an ROM17, ROM18, operation control section 19, input and output buffer and internal bus connecting them. At the sequential call of index words, the index word and the index word search progressing state are displayed on a display 6.
