CONSTITUTION: A map screen or the like is displayed on a display part 1 and positional information 3 is set by a position input part 2. By a data retrieving key word conversion part 4, the key word for retrieval 5 is outputted by using a pointer (or area number) and key word corresponding table 6. By a data retrieval part 8, a specified pointer which is previously edited or area dividing information is set based on the key word 5 and the pointer of the nearest and the information of the area number is displayed on the display part 1 as the retrieved result.
