PURPOSE: To display information on roads, hotels, etc., on a screen and to display detailed information by touch operation on the screen.
CONSTITUTION: Information which is inputted to an information input part 1 is processed by an information processing part 2 into a necessary signal for display, which is recorded in a memory part 3 together with the read signal obtained by an image scanner 5, etc. The signals recorded in the memory part are read out by a program in a storage part 10, transferred to and recorded in a display memory 8 through a control part 11, and read out and displayed on the screen of a display part 9 which is composed of PDP, etc. Once the display screen is touched with a finger, the signal based upon the touch is inputted from an input part 6 and a discrimination part 7 discriminates the touch position through a control part, and reads the image at the touch position of the display image out of the memory part and displays it on the screen through the display part. In another way, the signals are outputted to an image reproduction part 4, which reproduces the image at the touch position and displays it together with an image that is being displayed one over the other.
