PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find out a specific file while checking an outline of a plurality of searched files with a preview image.SOLUTION: A server device includes storage means for storing files, and creates a file list from the files searched in the storage means on the basis of search information received from an information processing apparatus, and an outline page list to be displayed to specify, from each file included in the file list, the outline of the files. The server device then responds to the information processing apparatus with the created file list and the outline page list.
