PURPOSE: To improve the operability of a camera, by providing a rotor with which plural pieces of binary information change in steps in response to the amount of rotation, a control circuit which varies the set value in response to the change of the binary information of the rotor, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The information setting device of a camera contains an ASA setting dial 4a and a shutter speed setting dial 4b. The set value is increased and decreased by turning the dials 4a and 4b toward the up-side and down-side respectively. The dials 4a and 4b have a conductor pattern 6 including a ring 6c having no lost area, two rings 6b and 6a having the lost areas, and a short- circuit part 6d which connects the rings 6aW6c. In such constitution, the first stage of a release is pushed with the first finger of the right hand. Then the dial is turned right or left to change the set value. Thus the operability is improved for a camera.
