In this system, an information terminal device 3 for communicating with facility equipment or home electric appliances is connected to the communication line 5 via a router 309, and a server device 4 is provided as connected to the information terminal device 3 via the communication line. The information terminal device 3 is provided with a connection confirming means 303 for confirming whether or not communication between the information terminal device 3 and the server device 4 is in a communication enable state, and a notifying means 304 for notifying with display or sound if the means 303 determines that the communication is in a communication unable state. The means 303 performs test communication to the router 309 or the server device 4 at a predetermined interval, and notifies when it determines communication unable state. Thus, a user is notified of abnormality in a communication line and the state of the communication line for notification is maintained all times to reduce the communication unable state.
