Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a display unit of a mobile phone to have a low profile and to effectively utilize light by using one light emitting diode capable of covering illumination of a wide range of illumination section.
SOLUTION: The light emitting diode 12 is embedded in the vicinity of an end of a long hole 11 formed on a printed circuit board 10 contained in a case in a way that the light emitting tip of the diode is directed to the rear side of the printed circuit board 10 and the mount side of the diode is directed to the front side of the printed circuit board 10, a reflection sheet 14 reflecting the light leaked from the long hole 11 is placed to the front side of the printed circuit board 10 along the long hole 11, and a diffusion sheet 15 which diffuses the light from the light emitting diode 12 and the light reflected in the reflection sheet 14 and passing through the long hole 11 is provided between the tip of the light emitting diode 12 directed to the rear side of the printed circuit board 10 and an illumination section 8 placed to the rear case along the long hole 11.
