Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable participators in an auction to participate in the auction in real time without meeting in one auction place by providing a dealer terminal equipment with a storage device where data of articles to be sold at auction are stored preliminarily. CONSTITUTION:One front computer FC20 is connected to a host computer HC10, and middle FCs 30 and plural FCs 40 are connected into a tree by leased communication lines 60 and 70. A dealer terminal equipment 50 is connected to each lowest FC40 by a public telephone line 80. Each dealer terminal 50 stores pattern data of a fundamental display picture in a ROM, and a laser disc where various data of second hand cars or the like to be sold at auction are preliminarily stored in delivered to each terminal 50. Consequently, it is sufficient for auction if the fundamental display picture and a signal which indexes data of second hand cars to be sold at auction are transmitted from the HC10. Thus, it is unnecessary that participators in the auction meet in one place, and the quantity of data transmission is reduced considerably.
