PURPOSE: To enable the connecting destination of a patch cord to be confirmed in on-line state in an information wiring system equipped with a wiring selector panel comprising a patch panel and a patch cord.
CONSTITUTION: Testing ports 6 in contact with the power terminal 21 of a testing power supply 20, and a light emitting diode getting luminous upon power supply to the ports 6 are provided on the connector 2 of a patch cord 4. Also, constitution is so made that current supplied to the testing ports 6 of the connector 2 at one end of the cord 4 is fed to the light emitting diode 7 of the connector 2 at the other end via the signal conductor 8 of the patch cord 4. According to this construction, the light emitting diode 7 of the connector 2 at a connecting destination becomes luminous, when the ports 6 are simply kept in contact with the power terminal 21, and the connecting destination can be visually confirmed, thereby enabling erroneous wiring to be prevented.
