Abstract:
To provide an infrared absorber that has a high infrared absorptivity, is well dispersible in a resin, has a refractive index close to that of a resin, and, when added to a resin, can form a composition that can give a film excel lent in heat insulation properties, transparency, acid resistance, and productivity and to provide an agricultural film.
This absorber contains an effective component being a hydrotalcite compound represented by formula I: [(M2+)aAl2](OH)x]-(SO4)y1(CO3)y2(OH)y3.bH2O [wherein M2+ is a divalent metal; and (a), (b), (x), y1, y2, and y3 are in the ranges: 2≤a≤8, 0≤b≤4, x=2(a+2), y1>0, y2>0, y3≥0, and (y1+y2+y3)/2=1].
