To provide an infrared communication equipment capable of preventing the radiation of unnecessary infrared rays causing a noise, and capable of integrating a liquid crystal display with an infrared interface.
This infrared communication equipment is provided with a liquid display 10 having a liquid crystal back light having a light source 700 and a light guide 300 and a liquid crystal panel 100 and an infrared interface 510 connected with information equipment. In this case, an infrared reflecting member 600 for transmitting visible lights and for reflecting infrared rays is formed on the edge face of the light guide 300 to which the light of the light source is made incident, and an infrared element 500 for an infrared interface is set on one part of the edge face of the light guide 300 on which the infrared reflecting member 600 is not formed so as to face the inside part of the light guide 300, and the infrared rays are inputted and outputted through the liquid crystal panel by using the infrared element 500. Thus, the liquid crystal display 10 can be integrated with the infrared interface 510 in this infrared communication equipment.
