Title:
INFRARED DISTANCE MEASURING INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63250507
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized infrared distance measuring instrument capable of measuring the distance to a target body by one infrared camera by constituting an optical path for picking up projection light from the target body by the infrared camera through 1st and 2nd reflecting mirrors. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting mirrors 6 and 7 slant at 45 deg. to the optical path 4 which connects the target body and infrared camera 2 for picking up its image, so optical paths 4 and 5 become parallel to each other and their distance is set to l. One end of the reflecting mirror 7 is rotated on the optical path 4 around the other end P to a position R to evade disturbance to the visual field of the camera 2 and when the image of the target body is picked up through the optical path 5, one end of the reflecting mirror 7 is rotated around the other end P to a position Q to secure the 45 deg. angle of a reflection point (d) to the optical path 4. Consequently, images of the optical paths 4 and 5 are picked up on the image pickup plane of the camera 2 at the same time and the angle of incidence is measured in real time. A measurement of distance is therefore taken by one infrared camera.
