Title:
INFRARED LIGHT SOURCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3205230
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an infrared light source for an infrared spectrophotometer or the like whose emission power is large, whose intensity distribution has a small unevenness and whose lifetime is long.
SOLUTION: An infrared light source 10 consists of two flat plate-like silicon nitride sintered body sandwiching a heating conductor 12, which is integrally annealed to be internally held. When current is supplied from the outside to a lead wire 13, heating is produced at a part where the heating conductor 12 is bent in the form of a comb, and infrared light is emitted. Because an emission part is a face region, uniform emission is obtained, and the emission part has a long lifetime at high temperature because the material is stable.
